Bush unlikely to draw veto pen in Medicare fight

WASHINGTON -- When President Bush returns from his Texas vacation next month, he will face mounting pressure from conservatives to control spending that has contributed to the largest budget deficit in history and to ignore calls to add an expensive prescription drug benefit to Medicare.
