Kerry Statement on Joe Biden’s Decision Not to Run for the Presidency
August 11, 2003
John Kerry said, “Joe is a longtime friend and I have nothing but the highest regard, respect and affection for him and for his service to this country. Joe is one of our nation’s strongest voices on national security and foreign affairs, an issue we as Democrats must be strong on if we are to convince Americans we can lead this country again. He would have been a talented addition to the Democratic field.”
