A New Declaration of Independence from Bush Some Humor Interjected Here!

Together we can work to improve it.
The unanimous Declaration* of the roughly thirty-five Democratic States of America, and of Democratic supporters
within the other ones,
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men AND WOMEN are
created equal, that they are endowed by the Universe and Powers
within with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life,
Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights,
Presidents are instituted among People, deriving their just powers
from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Bush President
becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to
alter it, and to institute new John Kerry President,
laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form,
as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety, Happiness,
Women's and Minority Rights, Independence from Foreign Oil and
Greedy Domestic Fuel Makers, National Health Care Plan for All,
Prescription Drugs for the Elderly, Stable Social Security, Reduced
Chance of Going Bankrupt on National Debt, and a Less Polluted
Environment for All.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Presidential
Monarchies long established should not be changed for light and
transient causes. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations,
pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them
under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to
throw off such President, and to provide new John Kerry President for
their future security. The Bush Presidency has been the
establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove
this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.
Bush has refused to pass Laws for the accommodation of a healthy and
educational environment for our people, including children, a right
formidable to tyrants only.
Bush and the Republicans in Congress have dissolved such laws repeatedly.
Bush and As*croft have obstructed the Administration of Justice, by
throwing people in jail without a charge, without a speedy trial,
without outside knowledge of their wheareabouts and without a phone
call.
Let it be noted: John Kerry would not do this.
Bush has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of
their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries. These
judges are known for their opposition of the rights of women and
minorities.
Bush has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms
of Officers to harass our people, and to violate their civil rights.
Bush has affected to render the Military independent of and superior
to the Civil power. Bush has no prior record of combat military
service himself, even though we had a combat situation at the time of
his youth, yet he seeks to abuse his office and demand that other
soldiers fight in dangerous situations, without being told the full
truth of why they are doing so.
Let it be noted: John Kerry would not do this. In fact, even before
campaigning for public office, Kerry had already acquired, with many medals to his
credit, the requisite combat military experience to fully realize the
seriousness of combat action, and the grave necessity of informing
our soldiers THE TRUTH before sending them into battle.
Against Bush:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent, removing tax credits
for the poor, but reducing taxes only for the rich and threatening the
financial future of our nation and of our middle and poorer classes
through a massive and unnecessary deficit spending:
For depriving us, in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences,
and of violating prisoner's rights in Guantanomo Bay, Cuba:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and
altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
Bush's deficit spending has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts,
burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of many of our working and young
people.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in
the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only
by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every
act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free
people.
And for the support of this Declaration, and of John Kerry as our
rightful Leader, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine
Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes
and our sacred Honor.
