August 7, 2003 - Alice Chamberlin, a Clinton appointee, goes for Kerry...

Chamberlin, an environmental activist of Warner, today announced her support for John Kerry's presidential campaign.

From 1994 to 2001, Chamberlin was U.S. Commissioner to the International Joint Commission-United States and Canada with responsibility for the Commission’s review of environmental water quality restoration in the Great Lakes and participated in international negotiations, joint fact-finding and consensus development on environmental and resource issues impacting U.S.- Canadian relations.

Chamberlin is currently the chair of the board of The Nature Conservancy of New Hampshire and serves on the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust board and the Connecticut Lakes Headwaters Citizens Committee. Her past environmental work includes serving on the Land and Community Heritage Commission and as the treasurer and executive committee member of Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission.
