Kerry plans e-protest of work rules

DES MOINES, Iowa, Aug. 3 — Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry plans an Internet-based petition drive that is intended to protest the Bush administration’s proposal to tighten overtime pay standards. Read more from MSNBC.

Senator Kerry is quoted in the article as saying “For more than 60 years, the 40-hour work week and overtime pay have protected workers from exploitation and rewarded hard work, But under the radar screen, while everyone’s attention was focused elsewhere, George Bush has launched a sneak attack on basic worker rights.”
