Kerry in town for small business session

Former presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry is in Cincinnati Monday for a meeting with Mayor Mark Mallory and a roundtable discussion with local small business groups.

The roundtable, at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse restaurant, includes the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce; the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber; the Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA; the Greater Cincinnati Women's Chamber of Commerce; the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati; the University of Cincinnati Small Business Development Center; SCORE; the U.S. Small Business Administration; and the Minority Business Committee of the Minority Suppliers Development Council.

Kerry, D-Mass., is the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee.

The meeting between Kerry and Mallory will include a discussion on Cincinnati's priorities for the 2007 federal budget.
