Bush Not Saddened Enough

Reuters reports that George Bush is “disappointed and saddened by the arrest on felony theft charges of Claude Allen, his former top domestic policy adviser.” As Allen had resigned we didn’t get the opportunity to see if he would honor his earlier pledge to fire any aide who “committed a crime this time.

No word whether Bush is disappointed or saddened by other crimes committed on his watch. For example, there’s his Vice President who conspired to break the law in outing the name of a covert CIA agent damaging our national security.
