Kennedy and Kerry Introduce Amendments To Obtain More Information on Secret Prisons

The New York Times reports on Congressional action to require the Bush Administration to provide Congress with information on the secret prison system extablished by the CIA. This includes amendments introduced by Senators Kennedy and Kerry “that would require the director of national intelligence to provide regular, detailed updates about secret detention facilities maintained by the United States overseas, and to account for the treatment and condition of each prisoner.”
