Frist Insider Trader Investigation Widens

The investigations of Bill Frist for insider trading are appearing more serious per this report from Reuters. “A federal investigation into Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist’s sale of HCA Inc. stock widened on Friday when the largest U.S. hospital chain said federal prosecutors had subpoenaed the company for related documents.”

The knives are out, for all to see, in GOP-land.

The prosecutors are loose--most of them also GOPers. Bush's apparent mental illness, coupled with Cheney's Halliburton venality and 'mini-nuclear war' hype vs.Iran are too much for many prominent Republicans--who,while often misguided, do, genuinely, love their country.

HMO exec Frist is well-known on the Hill as Dick Cheney's hatchetman. A message is being sent with this scandal. And I like it...

I also appended another article to the original version of this post at The Democratic Daily which ties together the facts that both DeLay and Frist are under investigation.
