so.... today the government tacitly threatens the media so the gruesome war film "Saving Private Ryan" will not be aired..........on veterans day.........because it's grusome...............because war is grousom........and people should not see how gruesome it is.............because we're at war. Certainly would NOT want people thinking about that now.

hope you don't mind the repost Ron, it seems more appropriate here.

A special thanks to all veterans who fought for all Americans. A reminder to the press, they also fought for your first amendment rights. I wish you would take that sacrifice a little more seriously and show half the guts our veterans showed, just by telling the truth once in a while.

And to the Kerry Veterans, there's no words to express my appreciation, respect and love. I've learned more about courage and service in the last year than I did in my lifetime. Max Cleland, with his one remaining hand cut and needing surgery, continued to fight for his brother, for his country, for every last vote in Iowa. A special kind of dedication and honor that I will try to emulate for the rest of my life.

It just made me sick today watching Bush being "optimistic" for our troops sake. He doesn't have a clue about war other than his sand box soldiers left over from his childhood.
John,Max and your own band of brothers, our thanks and prayers are with you today and always.

A new troll!

He was another of those who claim to be a Republican but who spreads lies about a war hero (John Kerry). With that line of attack we saw how little respect they really have for veterans. Respecting veterans means respecting them all--not excluding those who belong to a different party.

He also was speading the false claims that Kerry spoke out against fellow Vietnam veterans. The Swift Boat Liars for the AWOL Fliers even went so far as to edit the tape of Kerry's Senate testimony to make it appear he was saying things other than he actually said.

Those who watched Kerry's actual testimony know that he was supportive of his fellow soldiers. Kerry's goal was to help them by getting them out of Vietnam ASAP.

Kerry's charges were not against the soldiers but against the leaders who gave illegal orders. He noted that after he returned from Vietnam he found that the free fire zones (where anyone was shot without evidence of being an enemy) were in violation of the Genevea Convention. This has been proven to be true.

Now we see that the same campaign, after winning thru unsavory means, is nominating an Attorney General who is on record for advising the President to ignore the Geneva Convention. History, in a way, is repeating itself.
