Damn, they beat me to it. That's a topic of one post I've been thinking of but haven't gotten around to. (It's a lot easier to post in items from elsewhere than to take the time to write entries I've been considering).

If he is to run again, he must eliminate the types of attacks we had during the campaign. We do not want another campaign dominated by such attacks. While there was not time during a Presidential campaign, this is something he can do now.

The question would be how easily he can win. There evidence clearly shows Kerry is right here, but being right and having sufficient evidence to win in court are two different matters. If he has a good chance of winning, such a suit would go a long way to eliminate this type of attack and expose the right wing attack machine

Perhaps Kerry should have made more out of the fact that Osama is still at large in the final days of the campaign, and how Bush went after the wrong guy post 9/11, when he changed the focus from al Qaeda to Iraq.

I saw the article Marcus posted yesterday. I too feel that JK must strike back against O'Neil by way of a lawsuit. Obtaining a judgement against O'Neil and his cronies will put an end to their smear tactic capabilities and it's critical for another run.

Things Kerry must do to make another run realistic was the topic of a post I have been thinking of since the election but never got to (as I try to catch up on everything that got backed up the last few months before the election).

Since I've started thinking of this article, Kerry has already taken steps in the direction I was thinking in a couple of areas. Maybe by the time I actually have time to write it, it will be pointless if Kerry continues to "follow my advice" before I even give it!

Actually I did put the idea of suing O'Neill in writing once--in an email to Lala of all people after the election when we were discussing the results.
